About Us

A forest retreat that
feels like your own

Majestic Pines Campground sits on the edge of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, one of the largest contiguous wilderness areas in the eastern United States. We've been welcoming visitors to this quiet corner of northern Wisconsin for years — not as a destination that rushes you through, but as a place that invites you to slow down.

Our campground is surrounded by stands of white and red pine that have been growing here longer than any of us can remember. In late summer, the forest floor goes purple with wild blueberries — a tradition our guests love to be part of. There's no television, no Wi-Fi, no crowds. Just the kind of stillness that lets you hear yourself think again.

Whether you're here for a weekend escape or a week-long reset, we've built our sites to give you the best vantage point of the woods. Each site is positioned for privacy, with tree cover and natural screening between them.

The Experience

What you'll find here

Lake Access

Walk to the water's edge from select sites. Our nearby lake is perfect for morning kayaking, evening canoeing, or simply sitting on the dock and watching the sun dip below the pines.

Wild Blueberries

Every August, the forest floor around our campground erupts in purple. Picking wild blueberries is one of the most beloved traditions our guests take part in — and the best berries are free for the picking.

Trail Access

Direct access to miles of hiking and snowmobile trails through the Chequamegon-Nicolet. Whether you're trail-running in summer or cross-country skiing in winter, the forest is your backyard.

Stargazing

With no streetlights and minimal light pollution, the night sky here is extraordinary. We've lost count of how many guests have told us they haven't seen the Milky Way this clearly since childhood.

Quiet & Privacy

Our sites are spaced and screened with mature pines, giving you the feeling of having the whole forest to yourself. No thin walls, no close neighbors — just space and quiet.

Fire & Fellowship

Each site includes a fire ring, and our communal fire pit area is perfect for evening conversation. Bring your own firewood or grab some from the local store — the stars look better with a fire going.
